2010 Season Opening. Drumlanrig Castle and Gardens will re-open on Friday 26th March 2010.

Home to adrenaline-fuelled mountain bike trails, waymarked walking paths, an adventure playground, extensive gardens, Scottish Cycle Museum, native woodland and abundant wildlife, Dumfriesshire’s Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate is a popular visitor attraction for families.
We look forward to welcoming you, your family and friends to Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate where a number of new family-friendly activities and events will take place throughout the 2010 season.
2010 event highlights include:
* Outdoor performances of Romeo & Juliet, Pride & Prejudice and James & The Giant Peach
* Kids Corner - featuring a varied weekly programme of hands-on weekend workshops for children.
* Breathtaking medieval jousting performance.
* An evening with the award-winning Scottish singer Emily Smith

Drumlanrig Farmer's Market - Sunday 28th March.
The first Farmers’ Market at Drumlanrig will take place on Sunday 28th March.
Our Farmers Markets are held in the historic setting of the Stableyard at Drumlanrig Castle and are renowned for their colourful array of stalls selling a wide variety of locally grown goods. Stalls range from local fudge to organic beef, homegrown herbs to artisan breads, organic soaps and shampoos to luxury sweets and chocolates.
Don’t forget that this fantastic fresh food fixture takes place monthly on the fourth Sunday of every month from March to September. This year we have lined up an exciting programme for the Farmers Market and each market will feature additional entertainment for all the family.
Admission charge: £1 per person.

Easter Extravaganza

From Saturday 3rd to Monday 5th April, visit Drumlanrig for a programme of children's fun featuring a variety of activities such as the celebrated Drumlanrig egg and spoon race, an Easter egg hunt, traditional egg decorating, performances from Punch & Judy as well as a whole host of prizes to be won all weekend long.
